Crows Nest is a suburb on Sydney’s Lower North Shore, just 4kms from the Sydney CBD with a population of around 5k.

Crows Nest has one school – North Sydney Girls School, with North Sydney Boys School just outside the suburb in North Sydney.
St Thomas’ Rest Park is located on the east side of the suburb bordering West Street and the Warringah Freeway. There is a childrens playpark, a historical trail, Sexton’s Cottage (1850’s), monuments and headstones. It’s a good place for dog walking, although dogs are not permitted within 10m of the playground (check the council website for more information).
Crows Nest is home to the Northern Suburbs Basketball Association Inc (NSBA) which attracts many people to the area and has over 5,000 registered playing members.
Because of its two multi story council car parks that are close to amenities (plus there is another Wilson’s commercial car park) it’s a good place to stop to do your grocery shopping or run errands.
Crows Nest is akin to Newtown or Leichhardt, it’s all about the food with 3 blocks to explore.
There are no less than 50 places to eat including pubs and bars, with a wide range of styles from Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, steak house tavern, modern Australian, Mexican, Portuguese, greek and Italian.

Small Bar
Small bar is open for brunch: think smashed avo (pesto, tomato and feta) on sourdough, vegan pancakes and house made banana and coconut bread. In the evenings they serve small bites such as grazing boards, salads and sliders and a good selection of wine.

Metro
The Crows Nest Metro line is due in 2024.

Indicative travel time (from 2024):
- 4 minutes to Chatswood Station
- 5 minutes to Barangaroo Station
- 7 minutes to Sydney Metro Martin Place Station.
Crows Nest is close to the city with good access to the Cahill Expressway and is less than 15 minutes drive to Sydney CBD.
There are regular buses to the city and its less than 20 minutes walk to North Sydney and St Leonards train stations.
